Easy, Pourable Icing

This is a neat icing trick that I saw on the side of Duncan Hines cake mix box. It was especially useful for me when I wasn't sure if I had enough icing to frost my bundt cake or you could use this technique for a pound cake. You would use 1/2 cup of icing, any flavor that you are using, and put it into a small saucepan. Heat the icing up to where it will melt into a liquid that you are able to pour over your cake. Or you can just heat the icing in the microwave in its original container for 15 seconds. If the icing has been in the refrigerator, then continue 15 second intervals until it takes a liquid state.

This is an awesome idea! I will keep this in mind next time I bake, which will probably be this weekend.

Seems I'm always running out of frosting!

I'm baking brownies. Any creative ideas for regular old brownies?
